Felt a little ooky this morning…that might have been a product of all the dust I stirred up in my big house cleaning last night!

Feeling ok; but when I went out to lunch the temptation to get my favorite kind of potato chips was too great and I gave in. Not pleased how I justify these splurges by telling myself, “well, it doesn’t contain flour or sugar.” But, one thing at a time and I’m trying to be nice to myself and know I can only do as much as I can right now.

However, I’ve come to determine my cravings usually are from feeling the need to treat myself; like in this instance, I never go out to lunch and I only have two days left at my job, so it was a special occasion to go out to lunch and hang out with my supervisor one last time.

I am pleased though that I’m into week 3 and still haven’t caved on flour or sugar. I think this public accountability has been a HUGE motivator for me!

I’m going to be around family tomorrow for the start if a weekend of Thanksgiving festivities…WISH ME LUCK!!!

  1. It’s okay to cheat sometimes. If we are too strict, it will ruin the fun and you could end up eating more. It’s good to make a habit not to eat sugar and flour. I want to compliment you for that. Your diet plan should focus on health and not weight loss. Your health should comes first and then try to do some activities that keep you moving.

    1. Bobbi, thanks so much for the encouragement! We can definitely get through any temptations that pop up today!

A couple things that help me is trying to stay focused on the main reason I'm doing this and telling myself it is just one day, all I have to do is resist today, that's it just today, not tomorrow or the next week or month. Sounds silly but it helps, because just 1 day without sugar doesn't sound so bad. 🙂

I really appreciate the comment and support!
